Our Saturday wedding started at the beautiful Portsmouth Registry office photos then party to the Departure Lounge cafe in Alton. 2 very different venues but 1 beautiful wedding day.
Portsmouth Registry office photos
We started our day with Matt and his family at Portsmouth Registry office whilst we waited for Clare to arrive. Just a few casual shots as was the order of the day. Very few formalities just a ceremony at Portsmouth Registry office photos then off home to change and then to the venue to party. We hear this a lot but Clare and Matt followed it through 100%.
Clare arrived and after a few photos we headed in to get married. A nice quick ceremony then outside with the 25 guests for photos. This is one off the reasons we love Portsmouth Registry office photos. Great gardens and lovely people too.
Informal formals
We took a few fun formals and then some portraits and confetti and then everyone drifted off. Sue and I headed home to have lunch and feet Katusha. Part one of the wedding was done and we said goodbye to Portsmouth Registry office.
Departure Lounge cafe
The Departure Lounge cafe in Alton. When we first saw this place a few weeks ago during a recce visit we thought it was an odd venue. But once you get to know Clare and Matt its the perfect venue for their wedding day. Like I said Sue and I drove up to Departure Lounge cafe in Alton last week to check it all out. Great location and fantastic staff. Its basically a small cafe on an big field 😁
We arrived and Clare and Matt were setting up the games. We had football, bouncy castle, darts, duck hunting, flower planting I could go on and on. Basically the field was alive with fun and games.
Our brief form this part of the wedding was totally relaxed and fun. Just photograph people arriving and enjoying. So thats what we did. There were absolutely no formalities today. We grabbed a shot of Clare and Matt with the Ice Cream Camper from Dubbies before they changed out of their wedding outfits. And also a few on the bouncy castle but after that it was all very casual.
Fun and Games
Well it was all fun and games 😃 The whole afternoon. We had no timeline as such apart from finishing at 7. We had a lovely BBQ about 4pm ish followed by lovely cakes made by the amazing Kelly Webster from Cupcakes by Kelly but no cake cutting just eating 😂
So we spent the afternoon photographing people enjoying the sunshine and great company at the Departure Lounge cafe in Alton.
Its not very often we get a wedding quite this relaxed but todays with Clare and Matt was just perfect. Suited them perfectly and the Departure Lounge cafe in Alton was just ideal. A big old field full of fun.
