Yes, you really did read that right… an adult cake smash.

For many years we saw how enviously the mums and dads looked on as their newborn smashed into the cake, and always thought it would be a great photo session to also offer adults, but never got around to advertising the fact.

But, over the last 12 months these requests have become more and more popular to the point where it’s now a service that we can offer.

After all, we have the professional studio already set-up, we have the props, we have the cakes, and more importantly, our husband and wife team are the premier cake smash photography team in Southampton and Hampshire.

How does it work?

• You can wear whatever you like or even bring a couple of outfits
• We supply the tasty cake with soft icing or you can provide your own
• We supply birthday bunting and decor or you can bring your own
• You can bring Prosecco if you wish
• Photoshoots last approximately 1.5 hours
• We offer coffee and tea
• You then get all photos from the shoot, not just a selection

Where in Hampshire is it?

All of our cake smash photography happens at our comfortable professional studio in Bassett, Southampton, Hampshire. It’s a safe and secure environment, with everything needed to produce stunning results.

You will feel right at home, but more importantly you will feel at ease due to our experience, the set-up, and our professionalism.

We understand how important it is to connect with you during the photoshoot. That ethos is explained by our saying “we don’t just click, but we also connect.”

What happens on the day?

Everyone always get a very warm welcome at our studios, and when you first arrive for your cake smash photography in Hampshire, you will be met by our husband and wife team, Julian and Sue.

Our studio is very large, and purpose built for this type of photography, and we even have a large selection of themed props and birthday banners, or you can bring your own – it’s completely down to you!

We have a private changing room and wash area, where you can get in and out of outfits with ease and privacy.

We take multiple stunning shots of you smashing the cake up, tasting it, getting messy, and celebrating in style!

What to bring?

Bring a change of clothes to wear home, as the cake and colourful butter cream will get everywhere! It’s a messy and fun photoshoot! You might also want to consider a couple of outfits, As you can see from our photos above lots of people change mid way for a different look.

If you want to add a more personal feel to the birthday décor and bunting, you could also bring along decorations too.

And importantly, if you have any known allergies, please bring your own cake instead. You can also bring your own cake if you would rather something different to the ones that we will provide.

What happens after the photoshoot?

After your cake smash in Hampshire, we will work very quickly to review all the photos from the session. During this process we will delete and remove any photos where you might have been turning away from the camera or blinking.

We then re-touch and edit all the photos from the session and send them to you on a disc or USB stick, depending on what you prefer.

Unlike other cake smash photographers in Hampshire, you get all of the photos from the shoot, not just a selection!
