In summary 

We will only use the information you give us to support the provision of services and products directly to you on a personal one to one basis. We will not bombard you with marketing emails and, any we do send, will have the option to unsubscribe. Your data will not be shared unless we are legally obliged to do so or, it is an operational requirement. 

We no longer operate a newsletter so any contact from us will be a direct reply to you or in connection with your booking or photographs.

We hold permission to shoot forms in paper format and a postal address database for clients for printing purposes but no electronic marketing database.

Commitment 

This document sets out how JS Photography Limited uses and protects any information that you provide. By providing information, you indicate your consent to the use of your personal information as described in this policy. JS Photography Limited is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected and we abide by our responsibilities under the Data Protection Act. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement. 

Collecting your information 

To book a session or wedding, you will need to send us your details. Your name, telephone number, email address. We no longer operate a newsletter so you will only receive the relevant replies your enquiry.

If you wish your details to be removed from our records please call or message us.

Using your information 

We will use your personal information to provide goods and services, call you and to generate internal records for order management. We will email you service updates and use your name and email address to send our company information to you. By sending this information, we are pursuing our legitimate interest to provide you with information regarding our products services. You have the right to restrict this activity at any time. Just let us know or click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. JPP promise not to bombard you with information or irrelevant offers. 

We will only share your personal information with third parties where required by law, where it is necessary for our working relationship, or where we have another legitimate interest in doing so such as albums deliveries. JPP will not divulge personal information to third parties for the sole use of marketing. We may transfer your data to third parties operating or managing the website on our behalf, third-party payment providers, third-party social media providers, third-party mailing providers and third-party courier service providers. Those third parties may reside in countries outside of the EU (see section below). By submitting your personal data, you agree to this processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this notice. 

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access. 

Transferring your data outside of the EEA 

We no longer use third-party providers like MailChimp, So we dont transfer the personal information we collect about you to the USA to perform our contract with you.

How long we will keep your personal data for 

We will retain your data during the period we provide our service to you plus six years from the end of the last company financial year they related to, to comply with UK statutory record retention obligations. 

How do we store your image files 

Once we take your photographs. We hold high-resolution image files on our server for up to 25 years.

Your rights to your personal data and complaints 

You are entitled to know what personal information we hold about you and how that information is processed, which means you can ask us to do any of the following things notwithstanding UK statutory record retention obligations

  • access your data;
  • rectify any mistakes relating to your data;
  • erase your data;
  • stop processing your data;
  • receive an electronic copy of your data;
  • object to our processing of your data;
  • object to any automated decision making that we may do using your personal data; and
  • (automatic) to receive a notification of any breach of your personal data.

The use of Cookies 

Cookies are accessible only by the website that creates them. A cookie may allow a site to see which pages you visit on that site, but there is no way it can see which pages you visit on other sites. Why we use Cookies 

Our website uses cookies purely to keep you logged in. We do however, in addition to our own cookies, use Google Analytics. Google Analytics, is a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website, including your IP address, will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Further information about Google’s privacy policy may be obtained from http://www.google.com/privacy.html.

We use Google Analytics purely to give us an idea of how many visitors our site receives and which pages are most popular.
