Raisa, Sami and three wonderful boys Autumn Shoot

A few weeks ago I spoke to Raisa about her family location shoot. They live here in the UK although are about to head home to Finland so wanted a typical English photoshoot and thankfully they chose us to do it for them. We the last Friday of half term for the shoot and it was already a busy day. 3pm which sensibly is the latest we can do a location because of the light.

Fridays weather was awful, Storm Aiden had arrived so we never expected much at all. Raisa arrived with her husband Sami and the 3 boys. I was expecting to change to a studio shoot and i9n fact we had set it all up ready. But Raisa said lets go to the forest 🙂 so we grabbed our jackets and off we went. It rained pretty ,much constantly but occasionally misty rain so we made the m most of those moments. With our Autumnal photoshoots its all about the colours and light and quite honestly the rain only added to that.

We started with the while family and then walked and photographed as always. We took lots of the boys together and a few singles and then lots more as a family. I know I say this a lot but it really was a very special family and we loved every minute of it.

We had 1 request to recreate a photo from 5 years ago which was taken in Japan. This time the boys 5 years older and taken in a typical English garden. That was so much fun 😂

Another awesome Autumn shoot with a genuinely brilliant family again. We managed to use the amazing light and ignore the wet stuff.

COVID RESTRICTIONS and what they mean here at JPP…..

Sue and I are so pleased to be working again. But we are taking nothing for granted. Our work practice will be a little different but we are still the same fun loving photographers.

We have new PPE stations with hand sanitiser and anti bac hand wash in the bathroom too. We also have gloves and masks for us to wear and for children we will wear our super snazzy super heroes masks so you can rest assured we have your best interests at heart.

What does a family shoot cost and what do we get?

Our family photo shoots either here at our beautiful studio or out on location at our local nature reserve cost just £200.00. For this you get every single photo we take which is often around 70/100 and these are sent to you digitally ready to print and share with family and friends without any of our branding so completely clean and beautifully edited. These make perfect Christmas gifts.

Our “no nonsense pricing”. We charge 1 price and you get everything. No arguing about stupid priced prints. no ugly upsetting or pressure, No threats of destroying photos or photos that you will never see. With us you get them all in super high resolution to do with as you please.

We also offer a full photo printing service from £1 per print.

We work 7 days a week and do not charge extra for weekends or evenings.

Our location

Although we are happy to travel anywhere for our location shoots we do have a nature reserve right on our doorstep and its just beautiful all year round. At this time of year the Autumn colours are just spectacular and definitely makes for beautiful photos. There is a lovely woodland walk we take which is pushchair friendly and a lake with Lilys too. We meet here at the studio first and drive up together.
