6 days old and full of smiles
We had a pretty epic week with newborns last week and mid way through we met Rory. He was a 6 day old perfect baby and we both absolutely wanted to keep him 🙂 Unfortunately so did his mummy Rory arrived asleep so we grabbed a few in his arrival outfit before moving onto a few of ours. For each outfit we used we got a lovely little smile, this boy is full of charm. We managed quite a few changes and then some photos with Mummy and grandparents at the end which was fab too.
Mummy brought along a lovely handmade blue blanket that we used and a little rugby hat which we also used, Grandad is a physio for a local rugby team Mum is also NHS so our 10% discount applied to this shoot.
It was lovely to meet Rory and his family, Sue and I both love it so much when families come to see us with newborns, Its often the start of something amazing and a journey of great photos.
Below are a few answers to questions that we get asked about our newborn photography Southampton.
How old should my newborn baby be for a newborn shoot with you?
Good question, ideally 7-10 days old but we know this is not always practical and often babies are still in hospital at this time but we have had great success upto 6 weeks old and even older with premature babies and twins.
When do I need to book a newborn photo shoot?
Honestly sooner the better, we take a £50 deposit then guarantee you a space during the magic 7-10 day period. Sue and I often work on our days off to fit in new babies.
What if I forgot to book my newborn shoot, is it too late?

Where is your newborn studio situated?
We are in Southampton SO163QJ. We have free parking and every single facility that you would expect from a modern photo studio including bathrooms, changing room, mummy and baby room and separate area in the studio if needed and Sue and I fully support breast feeding here for both newborn and mummies with older babies. We also have baby changing facilities and emergency nappies in most sizes lol.
