Barnaby and Arnold come for Newborn “ish” photos
We first met Maria and Jake for an extended family shoot arranged by her brother some years ago and immediately hit it off, They have since got married and we saw them again for a bump shoot and then when the most adorable little Barnaby (Barney) arrived. Once short year on and they announced baby number 2, again we did a bump and then we met Arnold (Arnie). We had originally planned a newborn shoot at 7 days old but complications led to hospital for little man so we held off and eventually after the all clear we got mot meet him this week at about 6 weeks old.
It was fabulous to see this amazing family and firstly see how big and adorable Barney has got and to meet the equally lovely Arnie.
We started with a few of Arnie first but Barney quickly wanted ink on the action and this continued for a while. Both boys were super smily and made for great photos.
We finished with everyone and again it was amazing. Such an amazing thoughtful and loving family and we are supper chuffed to call them our friends.

How old should my newborn baby be for a newborn shoot with you?
Good question, ideally 7-10 days old but we know this is not always practical and often babies are still in hospital at this time but we have had great success upto 6 weeks old and even older with premature babies and twins.
When do I need to book a newborn photo shoot?
Honestly sooner the better, we take a £50 deposit then guarantee you a space during the magic 7-10 day period. Sue and I often work on our days off to fit in new babies.
What if I forgot to book my newborn shoot, is it too late?

Where is your newborn studio situated?
We are in Southampton SO163QJ. We have free parking and every single facility that you would expect from a modern photo studio including bathrooms, changing room, mummy and baby room and separate area in the studio if needed and Sue and I fully support breast feeding here for both newborn and mummies with older babies. We also have baby changing facilities and emergency nappies in most sizes lol.
