Cake smash and family shoot with Samuel
Wednesday was cake smash and family shoot day here at Julian Porter photography and thats probably not what it seems 😂😂😂
After a fantastic weekend away our first shoot back was with 1 year old Samuel who turned out to be a very cool kid! His mummy contacted me a few weeks ago to arrange a cake shoot as well as a family shoot so we started with a few family photos.
Mum, Dad, Grandad and Samuel and it was just lovely, Samuel was the perfect client looking fab in his very trendy gear. We did several variants of this group as well as smaller groups and Samuel on his own before cleaning the backdrop ready for cake.
Almost as soon as Samuel saw the cake he got stuck in. He never demolished the cake like some but meticulously stripped it of bite sized chunks 🙂 He spend 20 minutes or so enjoying his birthday cake and we all enjoyed watching him 🙂

Sue and I photograph hundreds of portraits and cake shoots every year and I am very proud to say we always get the results we want. We have very much an unhurried approach to our studio work, we often sit down for a coffee with our clients before the shoot and let the kids play on the background with our toys. This make the parents relaxed and the children comfortable and it gives us cracking smiley photos. The difference between us and a high street studio with a strict time limit is immeasurable because unlike them we never rush a shoot. We believe if people are comfortable and happy in our studio then they will come back again and again and its proved to work 🙂
