10 week old newborn Harnazz
I’ve been chatting to Simranjeett for a few weeks about newborn photos for her lovely new daughter Harnazz and they eventually found time to come along at 10 weeks old. This is way out of the normal range we aim for but we are always happy to try and todays shoot proved that our patience pays off
When they arrived Harnazz was wide awake bless her so we tried a few times but she was not having any of it. We then decided to do a few family photos with mum and dad and auntie too who had come along to help. The family shoots were great and definitely helped settle Harnazz.
We then played with a few outfits with some success and then I asked if we could swaddle her. They agreed and this worked a treat, we had a happy sleepy 10 weeks old old baby and the photos were amazing.
After another couple changes we did another round of family photos with mum and dad in traditional gear.

How old should my newborn baby be for a newborn shoot with you?
Good question, ideally 7-10 days old but we know this is not always practical and often babies are still in hospital at this time but we have had great success upto 6 weeks old and even older with premature babies and twins.
When do I need to book a newborn photo shoot?
Honestly sooner the better, we take a £50 deposit then guarantee you a space during the magic 7-10 day period. Sue and I often work on our days off to fit in new babies.
What if I forgot to book my newborn shoot, is it too late?

Where is your newborn studio situated?
We are in Southampton SO163QJ. We have free parking and every single facility that you would expect from a modern photo studio including bathrooms, changing room, mummy and baby room and separate area in the studio if needed and Sue and I fully support breast feeding here for both newborn and mummies with older babies. We also have baby changing facilities and emergency nappies in most sizes lol.
