We were recently contracted by Les and then daughter Sarah who was after a large family photo shoot to celebrate her Mum and Dad’s 70th birthdays. There were 17 of them in total which is quite a number in our little studio but nothing we cant handle thankfully.
We started with a few smaller family groups to get everyone used to the way we work and used to taking direction really. This is more important with larger groups because we have less time to get to know the individual people than we do when there are just 4 or 5 people. After we photographed the 4 families seperatly we started building the main group and photographed that with a few options.
It was a furious but enjoyable 90 minutes and I think everyone had fun. Age ranges were from the very young up until 70 so lots to play with.
We often do larger groups in our studio and get some amazing results too.
Our family photography studio
We have a modern comfortable studio with lots of space and backdrop options including of course the very contemporary white and black options. We have a bathroom and changing areas fully heated and more importantly air conditioned for when its hotter outside.
Lots of free parking offload and a waiting room if you arrive early.
We have free high speed guest wifi so you can catch up one facebook whilst we photograph the children and you can enjoy a lovely latte from our deluxe coffee machine which of course is all free too.
Free cookies for the children and adults. Our famous Gingerbread cookies are very popular and people say they are worth coming back for.
We also have phone sockets available for recharging.
What does it cost for a photo shoot?
Our family portrait shoots for up to 8 people cost £200 and includes all of the photos that we take supplied electronically which allows you to download as often as you like to print and share. We do not hold back, if we take 100 photos then you get 100 photos all beautifully finished ready to print and share. We do charge a little more for over 8 but only £50.00 or very large groups £100.00 for the extra time and editing but effectively each family gets a portrait shoot so great value.
With each shoot you also get (if you wish to) a client gallery/slideshow on our dedicated fast server which is fab for computer or phone viewing. This link doesn’t not expire so is great to share with family and friends too. You can preview the slideshows below.

You can choose to have your photoshoot indoors in our modern studio or at our location here in Southampton. We can also quote to go to your favourite location if you prefer.
