One week old Amoha bump to baby shoot
One of the first clients to take advantage of our new Bump to Baby package was Manamita and we had a great bump shoot both in the studio and outside on location at our favourite and local nature reserve. When they arrived at the studio their son was super shy and did not want to be part of the photos at all, In fact he refused to wear the shirt and just wanted to sit on the couch and watch. I talked and talked with him and bribed him with my camera remote letting him take a few photos of Mum and Dad and before long he was joining in and smiling. Who knew all it took was 10k’s worth of camera haha. This payed off big time when it came around to the newborn shoot because he was actually super excited to come and wanted to be in every photo with his new sister.
We don’t post so many bump shoots because they are quite intimate but I will pop a few below that I absolutely love.
Once Amoha arrived which was a relatively short gap of less than a month 🙂 we had the most amazing newborn shoot. We started with a few photos as she arrived in her beautiful dress and then changed her outfit a few times. She was absolutely perfect with a few cute smiles along the way. We took some eyes open and lots of sleepy ones too so win win.
Below are a few answers to questions that we get asked about our Bump to baby photography Southampton.
When should I book my maternity photos?
The truth is, everyone is different so it’s when your bump looks perfect. Some mummies come along at 28 weeks and others leave it until 35 weeks depending on how your bump develops.
Do you supply maternity dresses?
Yes we have a selection of around 10 dresses that you are free to use. You can also pop in before to see what we have.
Can I bring my partner and other children to my maternity photo shoot?
Yes you can, we love it when partners get involved and other children you have too.
How old should my newborn baby be for a newborn shoot with you?
Good question, ideally 7-10 days old but we know this is not always practical and often babies are still in hospital at this time but we have had great success upto 6 weeks old and even older with premature babies and twins.
When should i book my newborn photo shoot?
Honestly sooner the better, we take a £50 deposit then guarantee you a space during the magic 7-10 day period. Sue and I often work on our days off to fit in new babies.
What if I forgot to book my newborn shoot, is it too late?
No it’s not too late so please don’t worry just give me a message or a call and we will try our absolute best to fit you in. Just call me on 07720325336 for a chat or if your reading this at an evening feed time email me julian@julianporter.com
Where is your newborn studio situated?
We are in Southampton SO163QJ. We have free parking and every single facility that you would expect from a modern photo studio including bathrooms, changing room, mummy and baby room and separate area in the studio if needed and Sue and I fully support breast feeding here for both newborn and mummies with older babies. We also have baby changing facilities and emergency nappies in most sizes lol.
We hope you love these photos, if you’d like to chat please call, txt or WhatsApp me on 07720325336 or contact me using the contact page on this website or julian@julianporter.com
