The real greek photoshoot

The real Greek Southampton

Sue and I do lots of corporate work for lots of local, some national and some in terminational businesses and we always try to inject a little but off fun into our shoots. Mostly this involves getting people to relax for headshots or smile during presentations but today the fun was already in situ when we arrived.

I Had a message week or so ago from the manager of The Real Greek in Southampton saying that they wanted some fun shots showing the restaurant full of people and focusing on their large 20 seat table. We chatted about ideas and it was soon apparent that this would be taking place during normal service to  help capture the evening atmosphere and light as well as lots of people too. This did pose a few limitations for us because it means we were restricted to on camera lighting for a few go the full table shoots but mostly we just used natural light which thankfully our Nikon D5’s cope with very well. In a perfect world we would have setup umbrellas and lights but without a doubt this would have caused problems for the regular diners which was not an option.

So we set about arriving just after 7pm to setup the table and started shooting about 7:40 just as it got dark.

Poala the manager chose a great group of people to sis on the top table and we had so much fun photographing them. Lots of banter as we were setting up and that made for some great shots.

The food then came out and looked and smelled amazing. Sue and I have eaten here before and we love it. We will be going back very soon too.

Im really pleased with these photos. They shot the restaurant, food and people off so well.
