We recently joined Dan and Laura for their audleys wood wedding photos near basingstoke which has always been a very popular wedding venue for us so we thought we would add it to our new blog. We have been an Audleys wood wedding hotel photographer for many years.
Early one Saturday we joined Laura and Dan for their wedding at audleys wood near basingstoke on yet another beautiful July morning. We spent most of the day enjoying the beautiful Audleys wood gardens and grounds. Audleys wood is a fab wedding venue with large manicured gardens. But also unspoilt woodlands so whatever you are looking for, Audleys wood has it.
Audleys wood wedding photos the day started
We started our day with Laura and the girls in one of the suites for some lovely preparation shots and lots of beautiful details. This is always a great way for us to start our wedding days because we get to know the bridesmaids and often Mum too so it helps with our relaxed approach so much. Plus all the details help us to get super creative which carries on for the wedding day. Its a joy to work here as the Audleys wood hotel wedding photographer
We generally split ourselves or our time between the Boys and the girls when they are in the same location like this so after an hour we headed off for a few shots with Dan and the boys, A few of the lads were held up in traffic so we just concentrated on Dan and the Best Man and did the rest afterwards.
Back to Laura for the dress shots and then the walk to the “I do’s”
The ceremony was just lovely. I love the ceremony room at audleys wood because it has space and light and is very comfortable. A reading or 2 later and we were all ushered out into the sunshine. Almost straight away we headed to the shade because it was honestly unbearable for those dressed up but it was just perfect.
A few mingling shots, the family groups and some portraits of the couple all done in perfect time thanks to awesome people. Our 90 minutes flew by today as it often does but thats where our experience and homework come into play, we divide out time between the shots that we need and its a seamless procedure and one that our couples don’t need to worry about on their big day. After out time in the gardens we headed up to the beautifully decorated marquee to grab some detail shots.
The guests were then ushered into the marquee and headed inside to the Air Conditioned (thankfully) reception room for dinner which was followed by some great speeches. Afterwards we setup our funtime fotos and spent an hour having some fun before the evening started with cake cutting and first dance.
A perfect day for an Audleys wood hotel wedding photographer
All in all a pretty perfect wedding. 10/10 on all counts, maybe a little to hot but hey it will be raining next week so we really cant complain about that can we haha.
O and Dan’s lovely Mum absolutely loved cyclists so we got on like a house on fire 😀
