Brompton Barracks wedding photography Simon and Ebba

Brompton Barracks wedding photography

This was our first time honoured to work at Brompton Barracks wedding photography but we already have another booked in so more soon.

Our trip to Kent

On Friday afternoon Sue and I left excitedly for Brompton Barracks wedding photography in Kent. This is home of the Royal Engineers officers and once very fine wedding venue.

We stayed in a lovely room within the Barracks and woke the next morning to a very warm welcome by Ebba and her lovely  family and friends who were staying in the suitably named Queens room. Yes the Queen had stayed here in this room.  we started our day with a few lovely relaxed prep shots and lots of details in and around the barracks and of course Queens room. After a few hours of prep we left for the barracks church which was only about half a mile away where we met with Simon and the boys.

We were able to catch the boys walking to the church which was great and then a few nice shots around the church as well as meet the vicar Claire who was great and very accommodating. Su and I then managed to capture the guests walking to the church led by a lone piper and it sounded amazing and gave a great start to the wedding.

Brompton Barracks wedding photography

Our wedding photos at Brompton Barracks started at the barracks church. Ebba arrived looking sensational and walked into a very warm and friendly church. The ceremony was amazing. Most of our military ones are just that little bit extra special and this was no exception. Afterwards we headed outside for the guard of honour and confetti as well as a couple of group photos at the church before we headed back to the venue.

The gardens at Brompton Barracks are just beautiful and quite honestly we were spoilt for choice. The wedding photos were going to be amazing no matter where we chose.

We had a couple of hours for relaxed photos out on the lawns including some beautiful portraits. I say relaxed, well they were but relaxed with military precision if that makes sense. Just perfect.

The dinner in Brompton Barracks

Everyone headed into dinner which was amazing. As guests of an Officer at Brompton Barracks Sue and I were treated like royalty. After dinner was the amazing speeches. We had speeches from both the British guests and the Swedish guests then onto the dancing.

Dancing was fun but we broke away for some planned evening portraits. A few inside and then out for a lovely night shot before Sue and I left for our trip home.

Another incredible wedding day with amazing people.
