Last week we had a visit from the lovely Sothcott’s and this time was the turn of Lewis for his cake smash and splash shoot to celebrate his first birthday. We have known Ash and Jo for many years, we photographed their sensationally wet August 1st wedding day which was one of our favourites. We also photographed their first son Finley’s newborn and his cake smash shoot but that was before we added the splash. We then photographed Lewis as a newborn as well as cousin Henry’s newborn too❣️
Smash that cake
We know Lewis and Finley well so they never took much time to settle in and soon enough Lewis was sat in front of his lovely blue birthday cake. With a little encouragement he was soon getting struck in, albeit in a very polite way 😁 Finley also had a little taster or two which is what big brothers are for, isn’t it? We got lots of beautiful smiles from Finley I am so pleased with our cake shoot. So far -So good.
After a little while and a little messy play Lewis was ready for his bubble bath. We gave Finley a chunk of cake to keep him quiet and quickly turned our space around ready for the splash part. We have everything ready to go and it’s quick to setup. A quick bath temperature check and we were ready to go.
Splash time
Once again Lewis was a different little boy once in the water. He went from a happy little munchkin to a super excited one. 😂 Lots of bubbles and splashing and general bath time fun and even Finley got stuck in too. These two have such a great bond its wonderful to watch.
Afterwards we dragged Lewis out on the bath and back to reality. Mummy and Daddy dried the boys in our lovely warm room and Sue and I got on with the mass cleanup. Another fabulous Smash and Splash shoot with 2 gorgeous little boys.
