Marwell hotel then a beautiful Church wedding then a marquee garden party Wow this day had it all. In September we joined Rupert and Natasha for their beautiful relaxed wedding day here in Hampshire. It turned out to be an amazing sunny day. We were recommended to Rupert and Natasha from a friend of their’s who in fact wanted us to shoot her wedding but sadly we were booked. Thats an awesome compliment for Sue and myself.

We started our day with Natasha in the Marwell hotel for a few preparation shots. Although it was super busy in the room we managed to grab some lovely details and moments of calm. 😃 We spent an hour or so with Natasha and the girls before heading off to the church in Upham to meet with the boys.
The Church for Beautiful Church wedding photos
The boys arrived in a beautiful horse and carriage which was perfectly suited to their lifestyle and a lovely way to arrive for your wedding day especially in a place like Upham. After a few shots with the boys and meeting the vicar our beautiful bride Natasha arrived in a gorgeous vintage Austin seven. Again perfectly suited to this wedding and its perfectly perfect location. ❤ Our brief today was simple. A very relaxed hands off wedding, that suited us perfectly and although we did our usual “gentle direction” for the most part, it was hands off. And really enjoyable too.
The hushed room
After a few arrival shots we walked into the crowded church. This truly was one off those “wow” moments. The ceremony was nice, a few perfect moments only broken by the chatter from Jack who is Rupert and Natasha’s 2 year old son and a proper charmer too.
It was just as Rupert and Natasha would have dreamed. Afterwards we headed out onto the lawns for a few photos before Rupert, Natasha and Jack were whisked away in the horse and Carriage. We followed and stopped a while later for some very relaxed photos with again a little gentle direction. I absolutely loved the relaxed feel of today. After a few shots we joined the rest of the guests back at the reception which was also Rupert and Natasha’s farmhouse.
The marquee garden party for marquee wedding photos
A couple of hours in the gardens photographing people enjoying themselves and a few small family groups. They then forced me up in a cherry picker to get the “everybody” shot. Haha that was fun and a lovely shot too. Shortly after we were called into dinner and just before it was served we had the speeches.
The chatter
4 amazing speeches, its not often I say that 😃 but they were meaningful and respectful and again perfectly suited to Rupert and Natasha. Dinner was served and lots of happy smiley people ate, drank and laughed. Afterwards a few more shots outside listening to the music before we were called in for the first dance. Short and sweet just as requested ❤
Sue and I photograph lots of fab weddings, this one was right top there. Thanks everyone for a superb day and a wonderful evening. Awesome wedding quite simply because you are awesome people.
