Langrish House wedding photos

Langrish House wedding photos in June

We joined Hywel and Kirsty for Langrish House wedding photos on this beautiful day and it turned out to be another spectacular June wedding day. We seem to be on a very happy streak with the weather and timing. But I am not complaining and long may it continue. Langrish House is in Petersfield in Hampshire. Its a  beautiful wedding venue in a gorgeous location with just about everything you could wish for in a wedding venue.

Hywel and Kirsty are running friends of mine and when they contacted me about their wedding day I was super chuffed. We get to know all of our clients very well but its a bonus if we are already friends.

Our day started with Kirsty and the girls at Langrish. It was already a warm day but not surprisingly we were forecast an afternoon of showers. But I was fairly confident the breeze would be on our side today. We took lots of details and preparation photos as always, I think these are so important.

After an hour or so of beautiful preps and chatting mainly about Daddy Longlegs. And eating a few scrummy biscuits  we headed off to see Hywel and the lads at the church.

The Church

The church was just about half a mile away and we met the vicar.  Nick who was a lifelong family friend of Chris and Debbie (Kirsty’s Parents) so we were very well received. We shot the boys and the rings and a few details before Hywel went into Church.

Sue and I checked out our chosen spots in the church that would give us the best shots without effecting the ceremony.  A few minutes later Kirsty arrived looking sensational.  I cant honestly remember seeing a smile like that as she walked down the crooked pathway hand in hand with her Dad.  Followed of course by her beautiful bridesmaids. Perfect moments.

The Ceremony

Into a stunned and silenced church and as she approached the alter and her nervous hubby to be. Tears gently rolled down Kirsty’s cheeks to near perfect timing.  The ceremony was just perfect and very personal to them.  We were all happy to be cosy in the church because we had the mother of all showers during the ceremony. Did I mention perfect timing today.  Afterwards we left the church and Kirsty decided to leave for Langrish straight away just in case the rain returned and to be fair it was probably a wise decision because at least we then had cover if needed,  thankfully it was not needed.

Langrish House wedding photos

Once at Langrish House we headed for the beautiful gardens. The weather had settled and we had blue sky with the occasional fluffy white cloud. We spent an hour or so in the gardens taking some beautiful wedding photos. Lots of relaxed photos and a few family groups too. Perfect combination for a great wedding album.

To add yet another special moment to this wedding Kirsty’s dad Chris played in the band for a few songs. This was just amazing to watch with Kirsty.

The wedding breakfast

Afterwards we headed into dinner and after that speeches. 3 speeches were all very good and from the heart and made listening a pleasure. Afterwards we headed outside again onto the lawns. Because we had 30 minutes whilst the Dj setup. This 30 minutes turned into 90 minutes. This often happens but it really was a glorious evening and I think everyone was so relaxed. well everyone apart from the wedding coordinator who wanted things to run to time haha.

The evening shenanigans

Eventually because of the delay the cake cutting happened about 9:15. After that a rather interesting fist dance choice “I Love To Bogie” by  T REX. This made for some fun photos and got everyone dancing too. Then after a slice (or 2) of delicious cake Sue and I headed outside. Hywel and Kirsty had organised and kept secret a firework display. So our next job was to get everyone outside at 9:50. It was not hard once we mentioned fireworks. Then treated to the most amazing firework display which was about 5 minutes long just right IMO for a wedding.

What an amazing way to finish an amazing Langrish House wedding photos day ❤
