Sue and I run lots of Photography courses Southampton at Marwell Zoo and today it was Kerry’s turn to join us. We run these workshop days all through the year and most of them are One-2-One so you get full training from 2 professional photographers. Kerry contacted us from Bournemouth where she had planned to do a photography day but got let down. She is going away on holiday so wanted to get used to her camera.
We started our day with Kerry in the studio this morning at 09:45 which is a little later than normal. But Kerry only booked on Monday and we already had a quick shoot scheduled at 9am. This was absolutely fine because we can just work a little later. Although once we started Kerry was super quick at picking things up so we had no worries at all. Once Kerry had mastered her Nikon we headed to Marwell. Kerry had a 300mm equivalent lens but also took our Nikon D800 with a faster shorter lens which she loved.
Marwell Zoo
We did our usual route around Marwell today but did venture off for a few different shots. The Snow Leopards were shy again but the Otters were having fun so that was a bonus. We also captured a few new animals so all in all it was a very positive day. We also ventured into the tropical house. Once our lenses had settled down because the humidity we took sone fab photos.
Back to the editing suite
We then came back to the studio for some editing. This was fun bringing everything to life. Kerry loved her day and I look forward to seeing what she does with her photography.
Beat the camera auto settings
