We live in a lovely safe residential area but in a beautiful purpose built standalone studio with all the facilities you would expect from a high street studio. We have free parking. wifi, bathroom and changing rooms too.
You can find direction to the studio at the bottom of this page.
Please park on our driveway to help keep the carpark free for other visitors. Our driveway has plenty of space as you can see.
We have free off road parking so when you turn into Northwood Close please drive to the end of the close into the large car park section. You will see our 2 garages (hiding the studio) and door to the right. This door is to the studio. Please park in front of either of the 2 garages or bay to the right. We can easily fit 3 cars on the front driveway. These keeps everyone happy and makes us good neighbours too.

School photos and what’s included.
Our school uniform photos shoots are great value for money but its important to know what’s included. We will photograph your child or children and even a couple with parents but the child must be wearing school uniform in every photo because this is a uniform shoot and not a portrait shoot and obviously priced accordingly.
The Uniform shoot is £50 and you will get a lovely selection of photos on one or two nice backgrounds. This is a 15 minute mini shoot.
Please arrive uniform ready where possible but we understand if your travelling this might not be practical.
Lastly if you want a few of the children without uniform you can upgrader to a mini portrait shoot for £125 or a full 1 hour shoot for £200.

Visiting for a photo shoot IMPORTANT
Please arrive 5 minutes early to allow time to park and for us to do temperature checks etc if necessary.. If you are earlier we have a nice changing room. When you arrive we will explain the full details of this beautiful experience. We have a little paperwork to fill in and we will then expect to start taking photos so please try to arrive “camera ready” unless we have discussed this prior, If you spend 10 minutes playing with makeup or outfits thats potentially 10 minutes shooting time we loose. So if your travelling please let me know so we can allow for this.
Kids are the exception to that rule! Children sometimes take a little warming up and thats just fine we have lots of experience with this and a box of toys to play with too. We also allow time when we know children are coming. Its SUPER im portent if any of your children have any special needs, for instance Autism. This way we can be ready and allow extra time for the children to settle.
Bumps and Scratches. First and foremost if your little one has had a bump in the past 72 hours especially one that involved a hospital visit then PLEASE call me prior to coming. They may seem fine at home but they often struggle with new spaces after a bump. We can of course photoshop some things although not eyes so early but you can read our editing section below. But generally better to cancel that get bad photos.
Timings. Please arrive on time or at least a few minutes earlier than expected. If your extra early we have a waiting room with Air Con or heating and Wifi. Please bring along anything you think you might need.
Facilities at our photo studio in Southampton. We have full facilities here at our photo studio in Southampton. Changing rooms, Bathroom, Viewing room and waiting room. There is free guest Wifi and refreshments available. All rooms are Air Conditioned and we have room in the studio for 3 or 4 people watching most shoots too.
Larger family groups visiting
We charge a flat rate for up to 6 people in a shoot then the next tier is 8 people then over that once covid allows.
Any larger groups need a little more info and planning. We still try to do all the separate family photos as well as the large photos but because of space PLEASE arrive ready for your shoot. We do not have room for changing with very large numbers and equally if you have a baby to feed and settle please let us know so that you can arrive early to do just that. If you are travelling a longer distance again please contact me before hand so we can make arrangements for you to arrive a little earlier to get changed.
We allow an hour for our portrait shoots so if your having more than 8 people or extra outfit changes there please let us know so we can advise on pricing changes if any.

Editing your beautiful photos IMPORTANT
We have all heard the old “you can sort that after in photoshop” And yes we do tweak every single photo we take to soften skin and generally bring out the best in people. But the reality is we are photographers and not digital editors and some things just take too long and are too complicated especially withy these mini shoots so if you have any specific worries about anyones skin or especially eyes please mention to us before you come.
If you wear glasses that do not have a decent anti glare coating then you may get reflections from our lighting. We have a few tips to reduce this but its generally very difficult to remove all together and well worth getting glasses coated. This can of course be removed in post should you wish to send your photos to our digital editor. As always we can get a quote before working but for the most part we can try to adjust glasses to suit.
Only 1 rule for your visit Yeah I know there is always one………. 🤨
Our only rule here at our photo studio in Southampton is that once you come through the door please do not take any photos or videos on any equipment including smart phones. We have lots of sensitive photos and data and of course it can be distracting and spoil our creativity.
Directions to our studio.
From the M3 Motorway southbound about half a mile.
On passing junction 13 please stay in the middle lane, Heading for M27 EAST following the signs for A33 Southampton. Turn off of the M3 at Junction 14 ( stay in left hand lane ) and follow this slipway for approx half a mile until you reach a roundabout. Turn left on the roundabout onto Bassett Green Road. Then, Turn second right into Bassett Green Drive then immediately right into Northwood Close and we are at the end with the brick wall along our garden and 2 garages as above.
From M27 Heading west ( from Portsmouth end ) about a mile
Exit motorway at Junction 5 and take the first exit on the roundabout signed Southampton A335/ Swathling, Stay in the right hand lane and at the first set of traffic lights turn right up the hill ( Bassett green road ) signposted Crematorium/sports centre keep going through the next set of lights and further up the hill. Soon you will pass through a set of pedestrian traffic lights, after these lights take the 4th left turn which is Bassett Green Drive then turn immediately right into Northwood Close. We are the house in the corner with the long brick wall. In total we are only about 1 mile from the M27 and its a lot simpler than it reads.
From M27 Heading East ( from New Forest end ) about a mile
Exit motorway at Junction 5 and take the forth exit on the roundabout signed Southampton A335/ Swathling,
Stay in the right hand lane and at the first set of traffic lights turn right up the hill ( Bassett green road ) signposted Crematorium/sports centre keep going through the next set of lights and further up the hill.
Soon you will pass through a set of pedestrian traffic lights, after these lights take the 4th left turn which is Bassett Green Drive then turn immediately right into Northwood Close, WE are the house in the corner with the long brick wall. From Southampton city. Less than half a mile from Roundabout
Drive up Bassett Avenue as if you were leaving the city until you reach the Chilworth roundabout ( the roundabout at the end of the M3 ) Turn right on the roundabout down onto Bassett Green Road. ( towards the crematorium ) Then, Turn second right into Bassett Green Drive then immediately right into Northwood Close and we are at the end with the brick wall along our garden.
