This half term has been wonderful for us here at Julian Porter Photography. Lots of Christmas shoots, a newborn, a couple of cake shoots, a corporate and yesterday a Bear hunt 🐻
We have known Richard and Elly and their 2 adorable children Tabitha and Malachi for a long while and we normally photograph them having fun in the studio. But this time they wanted some Autumnal fun out in a local beauty spot. So we set a date, prayed for a glorious day and got very lucky.
We woke yesterday and the sun was low and long which was just perfect for a photo shoot in the woods. Our new lifestyle shoot offers both studio and location. So we started in the studio for a few fun photos but the kids were all over the location shoot with plans on a bear hunt and some leaf throwing.
So after a few lovely studio photo to update the family album we headed off to our location in the woods which is less than a mile from our studio. After finding our feet we headed for a few of our favourite spots to start with.
The beautiful orange light coming through the redwood trees was just beautiful. We searched high and low for bears, deer and snakes but all we found was dogs, big dogs but doggies.
Lots of photos in the trees and some fun stuff with the kids and then the family leaf throwing competition. This was a blast.
Back to our fallen tree for a little “safer climbing” and then back to the car 💙
