Bartley Lodge wedding photos prep time

Today we joined Alex and Becky for their lovely wedding at Bartley Lodge Hotel in the New Forest. We have known Alex and Becky for a while after photographing Becky’s sisters wedding which you can see below.

Laura and Ian’s wedding day

We started our day at home with Becky and the girls at Dad’s house in Wellow. Once again a lovely peaceful vibe and whilst the girls got ready the bubbles flowed and Sue and I got to work. Lots of beautiful details and preparation shots and with almost every shutter click the weather got brighter and better until all we could see were blue skies. Absolutely perfect for todays couple.

Lots of details and fun shots before the time had come for Sue and I to head off to see Alex. I also know Alex because he is a member of my cycling club which is pretty cool.

Once we found the boys we grabbed a few relaxed shots with them and then the all important ring shots before they were called in to the wedding room. Just a few moments later we saw the beautiful Bride arrive in a truly stunning VW camper “sleepy Jean” supplied by our friends at “vinnies vintage vehicles” .

I love when our clients get creative with their wedding transport. It makes it so much fun for the photos especially when the driveway is nice like at Bartley Lodge.

The “I Do’s” and beyond

Into the ceremony for a lovely wedding and of course a few Bartley Lodge hotel wedding photos. Short and sweet as always and we were soon being guided out into the sunshine. We have been photographing wedding for many years and we absolutely love being a Bartley Lodge hotel wedding photographer for quite a few reasons.

The outside space is just one of those reasons. Its the perfect mix of manicured gardens, a little architecture and some nice shade for our clients to enjoy the day without crazy heat.

A few relaxed photos and then some family groups under the beautiful old trees. It was then time to take Alex and Becky off along with “sleepy jean” the camper van. Sue and I got some absolutely amazing photographs out and about in the New Forest before returning to the wedding.

As we arrived back we were called into the hotel ready for Speeches. Fun and emotional and straight into dinner. Once again there was no messing here, short and sweet.

After dinner we all headed back out into the gardens where Sue and I made the most of the early evening sun to grab a few more photos. We were soon called in for the cake cutting and straight into first dance.

Time sure does fly when your having fun.

Another fabulous wedding with this amazing family. Sue and I headed home, tired but very happy.
