Barford park wedding photos with Hampshire wedding photographers

Todays wedding was at the idilic Barford park wedding photos venue and as Hampshire wedding photographers its a regular venue for Sue and I. Barford park wedding venue is situated in Downton near Salisbury so less than 20 miles from Julian Porter Photography HQ.

Todays wedding was with Tom and Emma. We have known them both for quite a few years through our clients and friends Ash and Jo and dozens of other connections through them and their wedding day 9 years ago on a wet and wild August 1st.  So once again today was like a family party for us which was amazing.

Our day started Barford Park wedding photos

When I say we are Hampshire wedding photographers, well we are but, as you will know if you are a regular visitor to our blog we travel all over the uk and Europe to photograph our beautiful weddings.  So todays wedding started in Dorset. Bournemouth to be precise in a Bridesmaids lovely home for preparations.

Sue and I arrived an hour earlier than promised because of the expected bank holiday traffic and a few other variants beyond our control. Emma had a videographer from 12 so with us there at 11 it gave us time to get our details in with a little space.

We spent an hour or so with the girls and got some beautiful shots before heading off towards Barford park wedding venue. This turned out to be a great decision because traffic was heavy.

Our arrival at Barford park wedding venue was perfect, greeted by the lads all looking very smart. Sue and I grabbed a coffee and headed to work with the boys. Just a few relaxed photos walking down the lanes at Barford Park before the guests arrived.

A few posed under the shade of a tree and a few of the boys enjoying a beer in the mid day sun.  Its a tough job being a Hampshire wedding photographer 😅.

Emma arrived a little later than planned to Barford Park. Nobody was surprised haha. Of course we blamed the traffic for that one. After a few photos with Dad we headed in to get married.

Tom genuinely looked aghast when he saw Emma walking towards him. I am not surprised because she looked sensational backlit perfectly by the beautiful summer sun shine. The ceremony was carried out by our great friend James which was such a treat and an honour to be part of. Short and sweet the ceremony was over. We headed outside into the glorious Barford park wedding venue gardens.

The garden party – Italian style and a calf…..

Out into the gardens for lots of relaxed photos. Lots of bubbles and beer and canapés from the Italian kitchen. Pure bliss for a photographer. A few family groups again under the shade of a lovely tree and then something very special happened. about 50 yards away a cow gave birth to a beautiful brown calf.

Obviously Tom and Emma Brown were delighted and christened him Brownie 😀. To be fair this might have been. mostly Emma haha. Anyway I think you will all agree this is a super cute and special thing to happen on your wedding day. I was of course charged with getting those “first step” photos.

After the photos we took Tom and Emma off to local landmark “the moot” for some photos. This was a fun time and where we did their engagement shoot too. 30 minutes or so and we were heading back to the party.

Sue and I then spent a while with VIP shots, parents and bridesmaids and family. Afterwards we were called into dinner which again was Italian, a cold meat platter to start.  Whilst the guests enjoyed that the speeches took place.

All 3 speeches were fun and received lots of laughter. Rapturous applause at the end. I am not sure tho, if thats because people wanted to visit the outside Pizza kitchen haha.  The Pizza’s were a fab idea, people queued and ordered just like in Italy and watched their pizza being cooked.

The evening

This went on for a very relaxed hour and was fun to watch. Some people went back to the barn to enjoy their Pizza, Some had a lovely picnic in the gardens. Afterwards a little while chilling in the late afternoon sun. A few more photos and then it was time for the cake cutting.

Afterwards it was straight into the first dance played by the band. Smoke machines, later lights and love was the order of the evening.

We came, we shot and then we left ❤ amazing to be part of the wonderful relaxed wedding day. Thank you Tom and Emma for looking after us. Ash and James and Jo for your help too. We love you guys and cant wait to catch up for that BBQ soon.
