Formal family portraits Southampton

We recently had a call from Katisa looking for Formal family portraits in Southampton. Unknown to us it was connected to our previous shoot which I will blog in a couple of days. Katisa and her family were attending the wedding of Paria so wanted some Formal family portraits in Southampton before the ceremony. The wedding was in the registry office in Southampton and they were not planning photos because there were also having a ceremony abroad.

Katisa is from Brighton and wanted family portraits in Southampton, a more formal look and loved our style. We opted to start with our white high key background which is very popular. After several photos as a group and with the little boy alone we moved to our more formal brown canvas.

The brown canvas is very popular with Formal family portraits and especially suits couples and things like graduation photographs. As you will see its a completely different look but one that most people love to combine with the white. Again we took several photos on the brown backdrop and then introduced our red leather club chair.
