Recently we met with Travis, a newborn baby boy in Hampshire whose parents wanted to bring him along for his debut photo shoot along with his big brother. Here’s how we got on.

A few weeks ago I was contacted by Phil to arrange a shoot for newborn Travis. Unfortunately Phil was taken poorly so we had to postpone. This meant Travis was a few weeks older than our recommended shoot age butI am very happy to say the shoot went well.

We started our photoshoot by making Travis comfortable and keeping his big brother occupied too. He was very happy playing with my Lego. We had some great fun with the 2 boys and although we only managed 2 changes of outfits we did photograph lots of different props. So that alongside his big brother made for a fantastic shoot infant and big brother.

I had lots of fun with both boys and I think you will see that in his brothers eyes. Mum and Dad had warned me that he does not smile for the camera. I never expect kids to do that, instead I interact with them and they smile at me. Generally being stupid and more like an infant myself lol. Photography is all about people and I do my best to get the most from infants and adults.

What we do here

In a perfect world we would get to meet your newborn between 7 and 10 days. But we have had great success with babies and infants much older and some parents are more comfortable leaving home after a couple of weeks. We have a comfortable and more important safe environment for both you and baby and of course any siblings you bring along too. Our photoshoot studio is state of the art with constant lighting so no flash to bother your baby. We also have refreshments on hand and coffee is quite popular with new parents
