For these Skylark golf club wedding photos we joined Kim and Ben for their big day. It felt like the hottest day of the year with constant sunshine just as it should be in July.
We started at the Solent Hotel
Sue and I started our day with Kim and the girls well kim and the bridesmaids because one of them Jake was actually a male bridesmaid. And my absolute favourite person he was just brilliant and very helpful. We arrived early as requested but Kim was a tad over whelmed with everything so Sue and I had a coffee in the bar before eventually heading up to the room for some details and preps which were just lovely.
We were due to leave the Solent hotel for Skylark at 12:15 but our parting shot was Kim and Dad walking down the stairs and this actually happened after 1pm. But as always if Kim was happy then we were happy. Well sort of haha it was a tad fraught at times. We headed off to Skylark where I had already called the Best Man to warn him of the delays.
Our day at Skylark
We arrived and spoke to the celebrant and found our spot in the beautiful barn. Soon after Kim and the Bridesmaids arrived. Kim looking absolutely sensational in her beautiful dress and after a few quick photos we were ushered into the the ceremony in this absolutely amazing barn. Kim looked sensational as she walked into Ben. The whole room was silent as she made her way in looking a million dollars.
The ceremony or blessing was absolutely perfect in everyday and after a short moment we were all spilling out into the gardens. The Gardens at Skylark are getting better all the time as this beautiful venue gets established. After a few family groups we all headed over to the lake for an everybody shot. Then inside for drinks at which time we headed off with the couple in the golf carts for there couple shots which were lovely. The grounds are amazing and we can make the absolute most of them with the golf buggies. A chose between the perfectly manicured and the lovely wild areas. Sue and I chose both haha.
Then back inside for the reception and lots of guests enjoying the wedding day. Because this is such a beautiful room its actually feels like you are out in the gardens. Windows on all sides its just amazing and makes for amazing Skylark wedding photos. After a few more photos and lots of beautiful details we were called into dinner.
Sue and I grabbed our table shots of everyone and then headed off for a chill out whilst they enjoyed the wedding breakfast.
The evening at Skylark meadows
After the dinner was the speeches which were fun and kept everyone entertained for half an hour. After that there was a couple hours until the first dance where people mostly dispersed and chilled out ready for the evening guests. Normally at skylark we would setup our photo booth at this time but Kim and Ben had arranged a booth with another company. We made the most of this time with some VIP portraits which was nice and added perfectly to our Skylark wedding photos
Once the evening guest arrived the evening started with cake cutting and then lots and lots of dancing. It had been a long and very hot day but a very rewarding one. Another amazing Skylark golf club wedding photos day.
Skylark golf and country club is a nice venue. It has so much going for it, location is awesome, food is crazy good, Staff are just brilliant and friendly. All in all its a pretty great local venue and we love it.
