On a beautiful crisp early July morning we headed off to start our day creating beautiful Upwaltham Barns wedding photos for Danny and Dan. Upwaltham Barns is the prettiest barn wedding venue in the South of England. The traditional Sussex flint long barns are perfect for a relaxed country weddings. Wedding photography Upwaltham Barns is set in the South Downs National Park next to the famous Goodwood Estate. At certain times of year you are treated to Red Arrow flybys.

We started our day at Upwaltham Barn extra early because Good wood Festival of speed was on so traffic was an issue. But all good. Sue and I rocked up and started photographing the details and general buzz. But soon enough Danny arrived and we started with the prep photos including her absolutely stunning dress and Jimmy Choo shoes. As well of course as everything else too. Dan arrived on a coach from Brighton with their son Frankie so off for a few shots of the boys before back to the girls. We often spend more time with the girls because us lads get a little flustered on the wedding day 😍.
The prep room at Upwaltham Barns is just beautiful. Filled with light and interest it makes for beautiful photographs. After a little more time with the girls it was time to get married.
The “I Do’s” with Upwaltham Barns wedding photographer
After a short walk through the beautiful courtyards we were walking into the beautiful barn for the ceremony. Danny looked sensational and the whole room was filled with emotion, a few tears and nervous giggles. The ceremony was short and sweet and afterwards we all headed out into the beautiful sun filled courtyard for bubbles and canapés. Sue and I had a great time capturing all the emotion of this important part of the day. After a little while we photographed a few family groups and then the VIP shots. Then it was time for Danny and Dan and their portraits. This its a super important time for us and really helps to reflect our style into our weddings. A fusion of the beautiful creative photography and the more relaxed reportage style we both love.
Lots of photos and a good walk later we were called into the wedding breakfast. Speeches followed and then afterwards we were once again out in the courtyard with even more bubbles but this time Candi Floss and Popcorn. Perfect! this really was a perfect day for Upwaltham Barns wedding photos and Sue and I loved it. Its quite a privilege being a wedding photographer and of course an Upwaltham Barns wedding photographer and we never take this for granted. We worked hard today just like we always do. We pride ourselves in our motto “We don’t just click, We connect!”
The evening
Its hard to know how to follow such an amazing day like this. but Danny and Dad did just that. A superb evening of dance and laughter followed. After the cake cutting and a few dances Sue and I said our goodbyes and headed on home. This was a very long but super rewarding wedding day that we were both chuffed to be a part of. Thank you Danny and Dan for choosing us to take your Upwaltham Barns wedding photos and be your Upwaltham Barns wedding photographer.
