Wedding photography Esher with Luke and Emily
On Saturday we spent the day shooting Wedding photography Esher. We joined Luke and Emily for their spring wedding in Esher Surrey at our second cricket club in a row. Sue and I drove up early and stopped in Esher for a coffee, it was in fact our most welcoming cafe ever. Super friendly owner who actually welcomed us to Esher. Its always a great start to a wedding day when you meet someone like this. I try my best to be 100% positive in what I do as did this chap who was a credit to Esher.
The prep
After our coffee we started our day with Emily at home with her 8 “yes 8” bridesmaids 😁 for a couple of hours of beautiful preparation shots. It was surprisingly calm at home and we had a fab time.
Emily greeted us with “would you like tea or coffee” honestly she was perfectly calm, almost too calm. We spent an hour or so taking beautiful details whilst the girls got ready. It was then soon time for the dressing to begin and with 9 girls and mum can you even imagine 😀.
After the girls dressed, Emily stepped into her absolutely stunning dress helped by her sisters. That was the time that Sue and I headed to the church to meet the boys.

We arrived at the beautiful church ready for our Wedding photography Esher and were told by a super friendly vicar that we were not allowed to take any photos 😩 BOO poor show but that was not going to ruin our amazing day.
We started with the boys although as is usual the ushers were busy, well ushering so we took a few of Luke and the best man. A few of the rings and some other details and a few guests as they arrived.

Emily arrived looking sensational in a beautiful soft top Rolls Royce. After a few photographs outside and a little “walking into church” practice we all walked into the silenced church. Stuck outside we waited and managed to take a few of the key moment shots through the rear doors without bothering anyone and awaited the service to finish, The signing was lovely and the whole church was filled with excitement for a beautiful Wedding day here in Esher.
Outside it was still dry although the wind had picked up. To be fair after the weeks weather we were not complaining. A few hugs and kisses and then a super fun and enthusiastic confetti shoot. Then we were back into the Rolls Royce convertible for the trip to Esher Cricket Club. This time braving the elements and keeping the top down ❤ Well done Emily. The drive was only about 10 minutes and soon we were at the club taking a few shots of the car outside the beautiful marquee.

Back at the club we enjoyed dry but breezy conditions for a few drinks out on the grass. Then a few family groups before we took Luke and Emily off for some portraits and then a few shots that were requested by Mum. Then it was into dinner, well afternoon tea actually.
What a fab idea, so tea and cakes for an hour or so and then some speeches before chilling out again and waiting for more food. 😁 this time it was an amazing hog roast which was delicious, yes we tried some ❤.
More food 🎂
After food there was a chill out time waiting for the evening to start. For us this was the perfect time for some relaxed shots of people enjoying the early evening. We often take our couples out during this time too or if space allows our photography booth. Once the chill out part was over we headed back into the marquee to photograph the beautiful cake cutting. As soon as the cake was cut it was straight into the dancing with an awesome band. starting with the traditional first dance and followed by Dad and daughter dance and then the dance floor went crazy!
Sue and I then said our goodbyes to the various people we had met during the day and thanked the Hog Roast man for looking after us. Tired but very happy we headed off home, a long and very rewarding day with amazingly friendly people. Wedding photography Esher was a lot of fun.
