Our friends Paddy and Laura were getting married.

This weekends wedding saw us at one of our favourite local venues bury court barn in Bentley Hampshire, Sue and I have enjoyed shooting weddings here since 2006. Were pleased and proud to be on their list of photographers and always love to go back. Saturday was no exception.

We started our day with laura for a few relaxed preparation photos. Like always we play with the shoes and rings and all the lovely little details that Laura had put so much effort into. Once we has done that Laura stepped into her amazing jenny packham gown which looked sensational. Without a doubt my favourite dress of the year. Decade. Millennium maybe 😍. Yes I loved it a lot. The bubbles flowed and it was a lot of fun. Paddy and Laura are local people and this was very much a local wedding. The bubbly was from the local wickham vineyard .

The church at Farringdon for the “I Do’s”

Once done we headed off to the church which again is a regular one for us, our last trip to farringdon church was for jodie and kate and again the service was led buy our good friend Tony Pears who as always led an amazing service.

The service was amazing and once over we all spilled out into this ancient churchyard for confetti and a few hugs and kisses. I love to make the most of our church weddings when time allows. A few shots around the amazing old Yew tree in the churchyard was lovely.

Sue and I then left Patrick and Laura to have a mosey on back to bury court barn (which is also known as the Barn at Bury Court and also the Barn at Bentley) in there Vintage Rolls whilst Sue and I sped off in the same direction in our not so vintage Car :-)………We won !!!

Sue and I have been Bury court barn wedding photographers for years so we know it very well. This helps us blend seamlessly into the day photographing it as it happens rather than dictating it.

Once everyone arrived at bury court barn we made the most of the gardens for an hour or so. Sue and I took some amazing Bury court barn wedding photo. I did some relaxed guest shots as well as some lovely family groups. a few larger groups shooting from the oast house.

Sue also had some fun with Phoebe the flower girl and Ben the Page boy. Together we did our usual pleaseing mix of traditional and relaxed reportage style of photography all of which suited Patrick and Laura very well.

The food and evening fun

We were then led into the meal by Rachel who is the house manager and Sue and I whisked around the tables to grab our couple shots before sitting down to our amazing BBQ. Thanks guys it was much appreciated and very scrummy. Then we had a few entertaining speeches and after that we headed out into the courtyard and down the lanes for some evening portraits with Paddy and Laura. This was an amazing way ton capture the evening sunshine.

We then headed back to cut the cake. Well the cheese really and then a great first dance before Sue and I headed home totally exhausted after another fantastic wedding with yet another breathtaking bride and a pretty great groom too.

Sue and I would once again like to thank Rachel and everyone at Bury Court for looking after us. Patrick and Laura for choosing to be your Bury court barn wedding photographers and for being so much fun from their engagement shoot through to saying goodbye on Saturday. And all of the guests for helping this to be such a great wedding and for being so much fun for sue and I.
