Our Elmers court wedding in Hampshire with Tom and Katie was one to remember.
Listening to the storms outside this evening has reminded me of our most memorable weddings from recent years. We joined Tom and Katie for their wedding day which was held at Elmers Court near Lymington in Hampshire. We had the most fantastic day filled with lots of fun and laughter, a little rain. loads of wind but plenty of sunshine too so all in all a 10/10 wedding day for these 2 lovely people.
Our story
We have met Tom and Katie lots of times before at previous weddings and events. Also at todays wedding was our previous couples and good friends Hannah and Matt and Katie and Charlie both awesome weddings too. And also our great friend Ellie as well as loads of other friends including Charlotte who I somehow agreed to do a 100k run with next year. I was not even drinking 😉
The beautiful preparations for Elmers court wedding photos
We started our day earlier than normal because the weather looked iffy at best so we arrived about 10am for the prep’s. The first thing we were greeted with was that the wedding ceremony had been moved from outside to inside. 🙁 I knew this was the right decision but it did not make it a pleasant one. We joined the girls for a couple of hours preps with the lovely details. Lots of laughter and tears, bubbles and cheers kept the morning flowing despite the news about the ceremony.
The boys
Sue and I then met with Tom and the boys for a couple of relaxed shots as well as the rings before walking back to the bride. We had a videographer today Neil who was just brilliant. The bride made her way to the ceremony room and after a chat with the registrars headed into the ceremony looking amazing.
The ceremony was short and sweet filled with beautiful words and tears pausing only by the sudden downpour which was another sign of good decisions. Outside for photos and fun. As every moment passed the weather was getting brighter so after a while we took Tom and Katie outside to the rear porch for family photos. It was tight but dry and bright thanks to the sunshine now trying to break through the clouds.

Thankfully the rain had sopped so we took the bridal party out onto the sodden lawns and had some fun. All the photos were amazing and the one below with the brollies is probably one of my favourites from the day. Simply because it could quite easily have never happened. It did tho thanks to us persuading Katie that this is a once only day. For Katie being up for fun and to the awesome Katie Smith for bringing such a lovely brolly. 🙂 We played both inside and out right up until dinner time when we did our table shots and then had a lovely dinner thanks guys.
Time to talk
Afterwards came the speeches which honestly were fantastic. Im surprised Ellie never got up to say anything cos she had plenty to say all day. 🙂 Afterwards we took the bridal party outside for some evening sun shots and then setup our funtime before heading in for the first dance which was played by the band.
Once again this was an awesome wedding with people we just love to be with. I cant thank all of our friends enough for making the day so special especially the Codder’s and the Smith’s for your constant recommendations. It means so much guys. Ellie as always you were amazing and we both love you X
