Our beautiful wedding day started at home

On This beautiful mid summer day we joined Jess and Rich for their wedding at Romsey Abbey. Sue and I started our day with Jess at her Mums house in Sholing which is where we got to meet Mum and the girls. Its always lovely wren we do prep at home because some brides are so much more relaxed.

We spent an hour photographing some of Jess’s beautiful details. As well as Jess stepping into her beautiful wedding dress helped by Mum and the bridesmaids. After this we headed off to the Cromwell arms in Romsey which was where Rich was getting ready as well as the reception venue for later. Luckily we parked and left the car for the rest of the day.

We walked the mile from the Cromwell Arms to the beautiful Romsey Abbey with the boys stopping along the way for a few photos. Although we were running late due to a few wardrobe malfunctions so we did get a sprint on. Once at the Abbey Sue and I met with Tim the vicar who we have worked with several times and said out hello’s and sorted our spot’s for the ceremony.

Shortly afterwards the bridesmaids arrived and then our beautiful bride who was looking uber excited as you can see from the arrival photo. This excitement continued walking down the isle and pretty much the whole day. Jess really does have an infectious smile.

As you would expect the Ceremony was amazing. The ceremony was led by Tim but also in part by Rich’s auntie from Scotland so it was a beautiful and very personal ceremony. Afterwards we all headed outside for our family photos in the Abbey gardens before walking back to the Cromwell with Jess and Rich stopping at the park for photos which was fun. We take lots of Romsey Abbey wedding photos so know this area very well which means we can find the best spots.

Back at the Cromwell arms everyone enjoyed a fun afternoon of champagne and strawberries. Sue and I had some fun with the guests as well as photographing the beautiful details through the whole wedding. We were called into the wedding breakfast and honestly the whole room was stunned and shocked at the sheer beauty of it. The flowers, the cakes, the details and OMG the desert wall. I call it a wall because it took up the whole end wall of the marquee and was simple stunning.

After the wedding breakfast we photographed the speeches which were fun, Dads was heartfelt and Rich’s started predictably funny. But as it went on it became quite moving and a wonderful Grooms speech, well done mate. Then Duncan the best man got up and after a few beers gave a great speech, well lets just say made most people LOL.

We then relaxed in the gardens again and then in for the dancing. The first dance was slow and very romantic. Jess teaches dance and this was bang on perfect for these 2 people and I for one loved it.

The Photo Booth

After the dancing Sue and I started our photo booth well it was a joint Photo Booth really. Jess organised the shooting area and for the next couple of hours we had so much fun. It really was a laugh a minute and the perfect end to a perfect late summer wedding with 2 beautiful people.

All in all this was an awesome wedding. 100% top notch thanks to wonderful people and a great couple. The sun shined and laughter echoed around Romsey and at 10pm when Sue and I left the Cromwell Arms looked better than it ever had before.

Well done guys you created the most amazing wedding and proved that you are both beautiful both inside and out.
