Sue and I have been photographing weddings at Cain manor for over 12 years and we love it there. To be fair who doesn’t. When we started back then it was bare and almost baron in the gardens but the amazing people at Cain Manor have transformed it over the years to become the mist have wedding venue.
Our Thursday wedding photography
On a quiet Thursday we joined Rob and Lorraine for their beautiful wedding at Cain manor on the Hampshire Surrey borders on what turned out to be a beautiful summers day. We met Rob and Lorraine when Rob was Best Man at Terry and Sarah’s wedding at the Elvetham a couple of years ago so it was lovely when we were asked to join them for their day too.
We started our day with Lorraine in the bridal suite for some lovely relaxed preparation shots of all the lovely details like shoes and dresses, flowers and rings as well as all the usual hub hub which goes on pre wedding. As a Cain manor photographer we know the bridal suite very well so this is a beautiful place to start our wedding photography.
After an hour or so we went to meet Rob and the boys. This time Terry was Rob’s best man but we knew most of them anyway so again it was a lovely relaxed time with the guys too. Rob had arranged to hire a brand new Austin Martin for Lorraine to drive so we also had a few preparations for that too. Wow what an amazing car that was with Cain as a backdrop.
We then went back to Lorraine and got ready for the final walk down the oak stairs to get married.
Wedding photography at the ceremony
Sue and I know most of the Hampshire/Surrey registrars and they know and trust us so we are always allowed to both shoot. This is really important to us and our style. 2 wedding photographers makes a huge difference.
The ceremony was beautiful and lots of happy smiling faces as well as a few tears too.
The Gardens
Once the ceremony was over we all wandered outside onto the patio into the beautiful sunshine. This stayed with us right through to the nighttime. After the hugs and kisses Sue and I headed out the front with Rob and Lorraine pretending to do portraits. Really to surprise Lorraine with the Austin Martin which went down very well. She was super excited as I am sure I would be too. We then did our family groups as well as portraits and lots of relaxed photos. Again as a preferred Cain manor photographer we know the grounds very well and always make the most of the beautiful landscape.
The meal
Time for dinner but before that was served we had the speeches which were fun and then a surprise speech from the page boy Harry. This was lovely and again quite emotional. Speeches forest are great because everyone proper relaxes afterwards and enjoys the food. The food here at Cain is absolutely wonderful. Sue and I often eat here.
After dinner we were again outside enjoying the sun so we grabbed a few evening portraits. Rob and Lorraine which were lovely and then before we knew it the music had started and it was time to cut the cake and dance.
It was an amazing day just as we had expected when we met with Rob and Lorraine. Today everyone there enjoyed this superb summer wedding. Thanks to the guys for helping us organise everything.
