After our recent heatwave and grand expectations it was bound to change. We could have done without it changing this Thursday tho but change it did. Sue and I woke early to photograph Nathan and Erin’s wedding day at Lainston House. Our second wedding of this week after yesterday with sue and Kev. Our year has been pretty good but it always ramps up after July and we love it.

So the weather today for Lainston house wedding photography

Like I said we were up and getting ready for the wedding and the weather was, well pants to say the least. Rainy and dull but for sure that was not going to stop us. We headed off to Lainston to arrive just after 11am. Today everything was here which does help us to get organised especially if the weather is a bit iffy. We arrived and were shown up to the Silver-lake suite to meet with Erin and the girls.

It was a fun couple of house and mostly dictated by “will it-wont it” rain. Nathan and Erin had planned an outside ceremony so we were all hopeful. Thankfully the weather started to improve and a decision was made to go for it. Because it was an outside ceremony it takes a little more organising but the staff at Lainston had it dialled in.

After a couple hours of amazing details, shoes and rings and lots of pretty things we headed off to see the boys. A few shots with them and then back to the bride for the “seeing dad” shot and then the walk to get married.

We also bumped into Sophie and Ed who were getting married here ion Saturday, more about that in our next blog post.

The ceremony

Because the ceremony was outside its quite a walk to the isle. Makes for great photos and lots of opportunities. The ceremony itself was beautiful and before we new it we were throwing confetti. This was amazing and certainly with the effort at an outside ceremony. We then did a few hugs and kisses shots and straight into family groups. We had quite a few today so just as well the weather picked up. But because we do our homework these flew by and were amazing.

Afterwards we took Erin and Nathan to the flower gardens and around the Lainston gardens for some photos. We know Lainston so well its lovely. Because of this we have a great idea when and where to take our photos. Today we chose the sculptured gardens and the apple orchard and the back views over the fields. All worked very well given the time of day and weather. we were all very happy.

Dinner and Dancing and a bit of chatter

We were soon called into the beautiful barn for dinner. Sue and I headed off for our lunch and then back to speeches. They were fun, nice length and topical so flew by. We were finished by 7 and the toastmaster decided to bring the dancing forward to 7:30 but Erin was not happy and wanted to stick to 8pm. So I suggested we take them off for evening photos and thats exactly what we did.

Afterwards back to dancing and then we said our goodbyes. Finishing our second fab wedding of the week and our first Lainston house wedding photography of 2018 but not our last…..
