Location Portrait photos in Southampton with Ben – Joanne and William

We are photographing Ben and Jo’s wedding in a few weeks and had always planned to meet for a shoot first. This not only helps us get to know them but it helps them settle on the wedding day. Normally we do a small Engagement shoot in the studio but Ben & Jo upgraded to a full portrait shoot.

We met at our preferred location up at Chilworth woods last Saturday with a car full of cold drinks just in case. This is our favourite outside space for Portrait photos in Southampton because it has everything. It has lovely woods and open spaces, Would flowers and a lake.

This week I found lots of slow worms again and a 30″ grass snake too. YES I left them alone I am very respectful of our nature but love the hunt 😁.

Sue and I have been very popular Southampton portrait photographer for many years and as such we know the places to go. Saturday was Uber sunny but we still managed amazing photos. We kept the family very happy too.

We started our shoot with a little walk too the lake and then a few portraits with all 3 of them. A few walking shoots and a few sat on a lovely bench was a great start to our portrait photos in Southampton. We then headed for a lovely shaded area we know and a few more shots. A change of outfit and onto the next photos.

Our next set were a little less formal and loads of fun. We played with little William a lot and got some amazing photos. Then the whole family sitting in the longer grass and playing with William.

The difference between us and a high street studio with a strict time limit is immeasurable because unlike them we never rush a shoot. We believe if people are comfortable and happy in our studio then they will come back again and again and its proved to work
